Pass IT On is a charity which adapts donated computers for people with disabilities who live in the EH (Edinburgh) post code area. We have 2 paid members of staff and a team of about 40 volunteers. We also provide work placements for people who have extra support needs. Pass IT On was founded in 2002 by Martha Lester-Cribb and Sandy Kerr, who manage the charity. They have recently been joined by Helen Russell who has taken up the new post of Administrator +.

Pass IT On is pleased to be an official partner of the Race Online 2012 campaign. This initiative is led by the UK’s Digital Champion Martha Lane Fox, and the aim is to make the UK the first nation in the world where everyone can use the web.
There are 9.2 million people in the UK who have never been online. In the foreword to the campaign's Manifesto for a Networked Nation Martha Lane Fox says these people:
"...are already missing out on big consumer savings, access to information and education. They will be even more isolated and disadvantaged as government and industry expand ever faster into digital-only services. We must change our mindset from one that shields people from using the internet to one that helps empower them to get online and enjoy all the benefits."
Pass IT On's aims closely match those of Race Online 2012 and we are very glad that our battle cry is being taken up on a national level on behalf of everyone in the UK who doesn't yet have internet access. Please visit the Race Online 2012 website www.raceonline2012.org to see how you can get involved.
